Monday, August 29, 2016 through Thursday, September 1, 2016 – Dayshift

Begin preparations for box culvert construction on Summit Bridge Road. Motorists should anticipate a right shoulder closure on northbound Summit Bridge Road, north of Marl Pit Road from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Begin installing temporary concrete barrier wall along existing southbound U.S. Route 301 between Merrimac Road and Levels Road. Motorists should anticipate a single lane closure along southbound U.S. Route 301 between Merrimac Road Levels Road from 8:00a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Monday, August 29, 2016 through Saturday, September 3, 2016 – Dayshift

Access to the Biddles Toll Plaza E-ZPass Customer Service Center from northbound State Route 1 is closed. Motorists wishing to access the Biddles Plaza E-ZPass Customer Service Center must use the entrance from U.S. Route 13.

Continue dirt hauling activities on Hyetts Corner Road. Motorists should anticipate lane closures on Hyetts Corner Road between Airmont Drive and Windsor Commons with traffic alternating through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Continue dirt hauling activities on Boyds Corner Road. Motorists should anticipate a flagging operation by construction personnel on Boyds Corner Road west of Jamison Corner Road from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Continue dirt hauling activities across Armstrong Corner Road. Motorists should anticipate a flagging operation by construction personnel on Armstrong Corner Road west of Summit Bridge Road from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Continue dirt hauling activities across Bunker Hill Road. Motorists should anticipate a flagging operation by construction personnel on Bunker Hill Road near Appoquinimink High School from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Middle Neck Roads is closed at U.S. Route 301 and will remain closed until the end of December of 2016. Motorists wishing to access Middle Neck Road from U.S. Route 301 should follow the posted detour of Bunker Hill Road to Old Telegraph Road and back to Middle Neck Road.

Begin line striping activities along northbound and southbound State Route 1, south of the Roth Bridge. Motorists should anticipate northbound southbound lane closures along State Route 1 between the Roth Bridge and the Biddles Toll Plaza from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Begin the installation of temporary concrete barrier wall along northbound U.S. Route 13. Motorists should anticipate single lane closures along northbound U.S. Route 13 north of the Biddles Toll Plaza (Port Penn Road) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Install Temporary Concrete Barrier wall, demo rumble strips and repave shoulder along the left and right shoulder of State Route 1, south of the Roth Bridge. Motorists should anticipate northbound and south bound single lane closures along State Route 1 between the Roth Bridge and the Biddles Toll Plaza from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Begin the installation of temporary concrete barrier wall along southbound US 13. Motorists should anticipate single lane closures along southbound U.S. Route 13 north of the Biddles Toll Plaza (Port Penn Road).

SR141/I-95 Ramp Interchange Project

SR141/I-95 Ramp interchange Project
August 12, 2016

The contractor, Mumford & Miller, Inc., continues the demolition of the SR141 northbound bridge. They continue the clearing and grubbing of SR141 southbound, northbound and at ramps G and F in preparation for the bridge widening. They are driving piles, pouring footers and have started the construction of the new bridge on SR141 southbound.

LANE CLOSURES:

Motorists should expect traffic on SR141 southbound and northbound to be reduced to one lane in the construction area during the hours of 9AM to 3PM, Monday thru Friday.

Ramp Exit 5B ( NB I-295 to NB SR141 ) remains closed until late June 2017. Northbound SR141 should use Exit 5.

The contractor, Mumford & Miller, Inc., continues the demolition of the SR141 northbound bridge. They continue the clearing and grubbing of SR141 southbound, northbound and at ramps G and F in preparation for the bridge widening. They are driving piles, pouring footers and have started the construction of the new bridge on SR141 southbound.

LANE CLOSURES:

Motorists should expect traffic on SR141 southbound and northbound to be reduced to one lane in the construction area during the hours of 9AM to 3PM, Monday thru Friday.

On Tuesday morning, August 9th, there will be a rolling roadblock between the hours of
1AM and 5AM.

Ramp Exit 5B ( NB I-295 to NB SR141 ) remains closed until late June 2017. Northbound SR141 should use Exit 5.

Motorists should expect traffic on SR141 northbound to be reduced to one lane in the construction area during the hours of 9AM to 3PM AND 6PM to 5AM, Monday thru Friday.

There will be multiple lane closures on NB I-95 during the evening hours from 6PM to 5AM, Monday thru Wednesday.

Ramp Exit 5B ( NB I-295 to NB SR141 ) remains closed until late June 2017. Northbound SR141 should use Exit 5.
