Below is an outline of the anticipated construction schedule and associated lane closures for work on the US 301 Mainline Project during the next week.

Monday, July 8, 2019, through Friday, July 12, 2019 – Dayshift
Motorists should anticipate periodic single lane closure on Summit Bridge Road from Boyd’s Corner Road to Springmill Drive from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for cleanup work.

Motorists should anticipate a single lane closure on both US 301 northbound and southbound from the Maryland State Line to the Delaware Weigh Station from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for stormwater management pond construction.

Motorists should anticipate a single lane closure with flaggers on Bunker Hill Road between Merimac Ave and Chop Tank Road from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for concrete placement and cleanup work.

Monday, July 8, 2019, through Thursday, July 11, 2019 – Dayshift
Motorists should expect a single right lane or left lane closure on SR 1 northbound and southbound from the Roth Bridge to Biddles Toll Plaza from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for roadside barrier work.

Motorists should expect a right lane closure on US 13 southbound from Lorewood Grove Road to Port Penn Road from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for roadside barrier work.

Wednesday, July 10, 2019, and Thursday, July 11, 2019 – Nightshift
Motorists should expect a single lane closure from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. with a second lane being closed from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on SR 1 southbound from SR 72 to the Roth Bridge for a temporary lane shift, temporary pavement markings, and installation of temporary barrier wall.

Detours and Roadway Closures

The new US 301 alignment was opened to traffic and tolling on January 10, 2019 from the Maryland State Line to SR 1 in both directions including exits at Jamison Corner Road, the Connector Road to Summit Bridge Road, and Levels Road.

The Stadium/Bus lot and secondary driveway at St. Georges High School is closed to all traffic until further notice except during morning drop off and school dismissal times Monday through Friday. All other vehicles entering/exiting at any other time should use the main entrance to the high school.

Hyetts Corner Road is closed to traffic between the St. Georges High School and Windsor Commons Way. Motorists traveling westbound on Hyetts Corner Road should follow Jamison Corner Road through the roundabout and continue to Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) and turn left, follow Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) to US Route 13 and turn left, and back to Hyetts Corner Road. Motorists traveling eastbound on Hyetts Corner Road should turn right at US 13, follow US 13 to Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) and turn right, follow Boyds Corner Road to Jamison Corner Road and turn right, follow Jamison Corner road through the roundabout and back to Hyetts Corner Road.
