US 301 Mainline Project Construction for the Week of April 1, 2019

Monday, April 1, 2019 through Friday, April 5, 2019: Dayshift

Continue bridge construction activities on Boyds Corner Road. Motorists should anticipate an eastbound or westbound lane closure on Boyds Corner Road, west of Cedar Lane with traffic alternating through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Motorists should anticipate a single lane closure on Bunker Hill Road from the bridge over the new US 301 alignment to the roundabout at Chop Tank Road from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for curb and gutter construction.

Motorists should anticipate a single lane closure on Summit Bridge Road from Boyds Corner Road to Springmill Drive from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. for excavation and topsoil placement.

Motorists should anticipate a single lane closure on both US 301 Northbound and Southbound from the Maryland State Line to the Delaware Weigh Station from 8:00 a.m. until 3 p.m. for Stormwater Management Pond construction.

Motorists should anticipate a single left lane closure on either US 301 Northbound and Southbound from the Levels Road Interchange to the Delaware Weigh Station from 7:00 a.m. until 5 p.m. for removal of previously used temporary roads.

Monday, April 1, 2019 through Thursday, April 4, 2019: Dayshift

Motorists should expect a left lane closure on SR 1 Southbound from SR 72 to the Roth Bridge from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for overhead sign foundation work.

Motorists should expect a right lane closure on US 13 Southbound from Lorewood Grove Road to Port Penn Road from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for roadside barrier work.

Friday, April 5, 2019:  Dayshift

Motorists should expect a right lane closure on US 13 Southbound from Lorewood Grove Road to Port Penn Road from 7:00 a.m. until Noon for roadside barrier work.

Detours and Roadway Closures

The Stadium/Bus lot and secondary driveway at St. Georges High School is closed to all traffic until further notice except during morning drop off and school dismissal times Monday through Friday. All other vehicles entering/exiting at any other time should use the main entrance to the high school.

Hyetts Corner Road is closed to traffic between the St. Georges High School and Windsor Commons Way. Motorists traveling westbound on Hyetts Corner Road should follow Jamison Corner Road through the roundabout and continue to Boyd’s Corner Road and turn left, follow Boyd’s Corner Road to US 13 and turn left, and back to Hyetts Corner Road.

Motorists traveling eastbound on Hyetts Corner Road should turn right at US 13, follow US 13 to Boyds Corner Road and turn right, follow Boyds Corner Road to Jamison Corner Road and turn right, follow Jamison Corner Road through the roundabout and back to Hyetts Corner Road.
