Below is an outline of the anticipated construction for the US 301 Mainline Project during the week of October 15, 2018.

Monday, October 15, 2018 through Thursday October 18, 2018: Dayshift

Continue bridge construction activities along SR 1. Motorists should anticipate a single left or right lane closure along northbound and southbound SR 1 between the Biddles Toll Plaza and the Roth Bridge from 7 AM until 3 PM.

Bridge widening construction activities along SR 1 southbound. Motorists should anticipate a single right lane closure from 7 AM until 3 PM between the Roth Bridge and the Biddles Toll Plaza.

Continue roadway widening activities along southbound US 13. Motorists should anticipate a single right lane closure along southbound US 13 between the Free Ramp to SR 1 and Port Penn Road from 7 AM until 2 PM.

Intermittent daytime single lane closures on US 301 between Boyds Corner Road and Spring Mill Drive for hot-mix asphalt paving.

Continue bridge construction activities on SR 896/Boyds Corner Road. Motorists should anticipate an eastbound or westbound lane closure on SR 896/Boyds Corner Road west of Cedar Lane with traffic alternating through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 8 AM until 4 PM.

Motorists should expect single lane closures on Bunker Hill Road between the bridge over future US 301 and the roundabout at Chop Tank Rd with traffic alternating through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 8 AM until 4 PM.

Monday, October 15, 2018: Nightshift

Work will be performed overnight to reduce SR 1 Northbound to two lanes between Biddles Toll Plaza and the Roth Bridge. Motorists using the cash toll lanes will merge into one lane coming out of the toll plaza before merging left into the two existing northbound lanes. Once closed, these lanes will remain closed until the opening of the new US 301 alignment at the end of 2018.

Wednesday, October 17, 2018 and Thursday, October 18, 2018: Dayshift 

Work will be performed Wednesday and Thursday on US 13 between Port Penn Road and Hyetts Corner Road. A left lane closure will be scheduled on the northbound lanes between 9 AM until  4PM and also on the southbound lanes between 7 AM until 3 PM to relocate signage in the median.

Friday, October 19, 2018 – Dayshift

Continue roadway widening activities along southbound US 13. Motorists should anticipate a single right lane closure along southbound US 13 between the Free Ramp to SR 1 and Port Penn Road from 7 AM until Noon.

Detours and Roadway Closures

The Stadium/Bus lot and secondary driveway at St. Georges High School is closed to all traffic until further notice except during morning drop off and school dismissal times Monday through Friday. All other vehicles entering/exiting at any other time should use the main entrance to the high school.

Hyetts Corner Road is closed to traffic between the St. Georges High School and Windsor Commons Way until December 2018. Motorists traveling westbound on Hyetts Corner Road should follow Jamison Corner Road through the roundabout and continue to Boyds Corner Road and turn left, follow Boyds Corner Road to US 13 and turn left, and back to Hyetts Corner Road. Motorists traveling eastbound on Hyetts Corner Road should turn right at US 13, follow US 13 to SR 896/Boyds Corner Road and turn right, follow Boyds Corner Road to Jamison Corner Road and turn right, follow Jamison Corner Road through the roundabout and back to Hyetts Corner Road.
