Motorists should anticipate an eastbound or westbound lane closure on Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) west of Cedar Lane with traffic alternating through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Motorists should anticipate a single lane closure on Bunker Hill Road from the bridge over the new US 301 alignment to the roundabout at Chop Tank Road from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for curb and gutter construction.

Motorists should anticipate a single lane closure on Summit Bridge Road from Boyds Corner Road to Springmill Drive from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for excavation and topsoil placement.

Motorists should anticipate a single lane closure on both US 301 northbound and southbound from the Maryland State Line to the Delaware Weigh Station from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for Stormwater Management Pond construction.

Motorists should anticipate a single left lane closure on both US 301 northbound and southbound from the Levels Road Interchange to the Delaware Weigh Station from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for removal of previously used temporary roads.

Motorists should expect a right lane closure on SR 1 southbound from the Roth Bridge to the US 301 exit from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for overhead sign foundation work.

Motorists should expect a right lane closure on US 13 Southbound from Lorewood Grove Road to Port Penn Road from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for roadside barrier work.

Friday, April 12, 2019 – Dayshift

Motorists should expect a right lane closure on US 13 Southbound from Lorewood Grove Road to Port Penn Road from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for roadside barrier work.

Detours and Roadway Closures

The new US 301 alignment was opened to traffic and tolling on January 10, 2019 from the Maryland State Line to SR 1 in both directions including exits at Jamison Corner Road, the Connector Road to Summit Bridge Road, and Levels Road.

The Stadium/Bus lot and secondary driveway at St. Georges High School is closed to all traffic until further notice except during morning drop off and school dismissal times Monday through Friday. All other vehicles entering/exiting at any other time should use the main entrance to the high school.

Hyetts Corner Road is closed to traffic between the St. Georges High School and Windsor Commons Way. Motorists traveling westbound on Hyetts Corner Road should follow Jamison Corner Road through the roundabout and continue to Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) and turn left, follow Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) to US 13 and turn left, and back to Hyetts Corner Road. Motorists traveling eastbound on Hyetts Corner Road should turn right at US 13, follow US 13 to Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) and turn right, follow Boyds Corner Road to Jamison Corner Road and turn right, follow Jamison Corner road through the roundabout and back to Hyetts Corner Road.

Motorists should expect a single right lane closure on US 13 Southbound from Lorewood Grove Road to Port Penn Road from 9:00AM to 12:00PM for erosion and sediment control repairs.

Detours and Roadway Closures

A controlled burn of the field adjacent to US 301 Northbound, between Bunker Hill Road and Armstrong Corner Road (behind the Springmill Community) will be done to prepare the site for a wildflower planting to promote pollinator species.  The Delaware Forest Service will lead the control burn with support from Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control.  The Department of Transportation will be assisting with traffic control along US 301. The controlled burn will be happening within the next 30 days.  Delaware Forest Service staff will be evaluating weather conditions to determine the best conditions.  A separate press release will be sent out by DelDOT when a definite date is confirmed.

Monday, February 4, 2019, through Friday, February 8, 2019: Dayshift

Continue bridge construction activities on Boyds Corner Road. Motorists should anticipate an eastbound or westbound lane closure on Boyds Corner Road, west of Cedar Lane with traffic alternating through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM.

Motorists should anticipate a single lane closure on Bunker Hill Road from the bridge over the new US 301 alignment to the roundabout at Chop Tank Road from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM for curb and gutter construction.

Motorists should anticipate a single lane closure on Summit Bridge Road from Boyds Corner Road to Springmill Drive from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM for excavation and topsoil placement.

Motorists should anticipate a single lane closure on both US 301 Northbound and Southbound from the Maryland State Line to the Delaware Weigh Station from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM for Stormwater Management Pond construction.

Motorists should anticipate a single left lane closure on either US 301 Northbound and Southbound from the Levels Road Interchange to the Delaware Weigh Station from 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM for removal of previously used temporary roads.

Monday, February 4, 2019, through Thursday, February 7, 2019: Dayshift

Motorists should expect a single left lane closure on SR 1 Southbound from the Roth Bridge to Biddle’s Toll Plaza from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM for median drainage work.

Motorists should expect a single right lane closure on US 301 Northbound from Hyetts Corner Road to the flyover bridge over SR 1 from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM for repair of the guardrail attenuator.

Motorists should expect a left or right shoulder closure on US 301 Southbound from SR 1 to Hyetts Corner Road from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM for erosion and sediment repairs and sign installation.

Monday, February 4, 2019, through Thursday, February 7, 2019: Nightshift

Motorists should expect a double left or right lane closure along with rolling road blocks on SR 1 Southbound from the Roth Bridge to Biddle’s Toll Plaza from 10:00 PM until 5:00 AM for installation of overhead signs and barrier wall.

Detours and Roadway Closures

The new US 301 alignment was opened to traffic and tolling on January 10, 2019 from the Maryland State Line to SR 1 in both directions including exits at Jamison Corner Road, the Connector Road to Summit Bridge Road, and Levels Road.

The Stadium/Bus lot and secondary driveway at St. Georges High School is closed to all traffic until further notice except during morning drop off and school dismissal times Monday through Friday. All other vehicles entering/exiting at any other time should use the main entrance to the high school.

Hyetts Corner Road is closed to traffic between the St. Georges High School and Windsor Commons Way. Motorists traveling westbound on Hyetts Corner Road should follow Jamison Corner Road through the roundabout and continue to Boyds Corner Road and turn left, follow Boyds Corner Road to US 13 and turn left, and back to Hyetts Corner Road. Motorists traveling eastbound on Hyetts Corner Road should turn right at US 13, follow US 13 to Boyds Corner Road and turn right, follow Boyds Corner Road to Jamison Corner Road and turn right, follow Jamison Corner Road through the roundabout and back to Hyetts Corner Road.
