Below is the US 301 Mainline Project construction schedule for the week of July 8, 2018.

Monday, July 9, 2018 through Thursday July 12, 2018: Dayshift

Continue bridge construction activities along SR 1. Motorists should anticipate a single left or right lane closure along northbound and southbound SR 1 between the Biddles Toll Plaza and the Roth Bridge from 9 AM until 3 PM.

Continue roadway widening activities along southbound US 13. Motorists should anticipate a single right lane closure along southbound US 13 between the Free Ramp to SR 1 and Port Penn Road from 9 AM until 2 PM.

Continue roadway widening activities along northbound US 13. Motorists should anticipate a single right lane closure along northbound US 13 prior to the Free Ramp to SR 1 from 9 AM until 2 PM.

Continue bridge construction activities along Bunker Hill Road. Motorists should anticipate an eastbound or westbound lane closure on Bunker Hill Road, west of Choptank Road with traffic alternating through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 7 AM until 5 PM.

Intermittent daytime right shoulder closures on US 301 southbound between the Strawberry Lane bridge and the Maryland state line to work on ponds and landscaping.

Continue bridge construction activities on Boyds Corner Road (SR 896). Motorists should anticipate an eastbound or westbound lane closure on Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) west of Cedar Lane with traffic alternating through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 9 AM until 3 PM.

Monday, July 9, 2018 and Tuesday, July 10, 2018: Dayshift 

Motorists should anticipate rolling lane closures on both northbound and southbound US 13 between Hyetts Corner Road and the Free Ramp from 9 AM until 3 PM for rumble strip installation and permanent pavement markings.

Friday, July 13, 2018 – Dayshift

Continue roadway widening activities along southbound US 13. Motorists should anticipate a single right lane closure along southbound US 13 between the Free Ramp to SR 1 and Port Penn Road from 7 AM until Noon.

Monday, July 9, 2018: Nightshift

Mobilizing crane from work area to median. Motorists should anticipate a double right lane closure from Midnight until 6 AM between the Roth Bridge and Toll Plaza.

Sunday, July 8, 2018, Monday, July 9, 2018, and Thursday, July 12, 2018: Nightshift

Removing equipment from the SR 1 median. Motorists should anticipate rolling road blocks on SR 1 southbound between 10 PM and Midnight.

Wednesday, July 11, 2018 and Thursday, July 12, 2018: Nightshift

Motorists should anticipate rolling lane closures on both northbound and southbound US Route 13 between Hyett’s Corner Road and the Free Ramp from 7:00PM to 7:00AM for installation of permanent pavement markings.

Detours and Roadway Closures

Port Penn Road at US 13 is restricted to a right turn into and right turn out of Port Penn Road. Traffic accessing southbound US 13 from Port Penn Road will follow Port Penn Road to Pole Bridge Road and back to US 13. Traffic accessing Port Penn Road from southbound US Route 13 will follow US 13 to Pole Bridge Road and back to Port Penn Road. Traffic accessing the Biddles Toll Plaza from northbound US 13 will follow US 13 to the traffic signal at the free ramp to northbound SR 1 and make a U-Turn back to the Biddles Toll Plaza. This closure will remain in effect through late July 2018 after the intersection is reconstructed and the new traffic signal becomes operational.

Hyetts Corner Road is closed to traffic between the St. Georges High School and Windsor Commons Way until December 2018. Motorists traveling westbound on Hyetts Corner Road should follow Jamison Corner Road through the roundabout and continue to Boyd Corner Road (SR 896) and turn left, follow Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) to US 13 and turn left, and back to Hyetts Corner Road. Motorists traveling eastbound on Hyetts Corner Road should turn right at US 13, follow US 13 to Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) and turn right, follow Boyds Corner Road to Jamison Corner Road and turn right, follow Jamison Corner road through the roundabout and back to Hyetts Corner Road.
