Below is an outline of the anticipated construction for the US 301 Mainline Project for the week of July 1, 2018.

Monday, July 2, 2018, Tuesday, July 3, 2018, and Thursday July 5, 2018: Dayshift

Continue bridge construction activities along SR 1. Motorists should anticipate a single left or right lane closure along northbound and southbound SR 1 between the Biddles Toll Plaza and the Roth Bridge from 9 AM until 3 PM.

Continue roadway widening activities along southbound US 13. Motorists should anticipate a single right lane closure along southbound US 13 between the Free Ramp to SR 1 and Port Penn Road from 9 AM until 2 PM.

Continue roadway widening activities along northbound US 13. Motorists should anticipate a single right lane closure along northbound US 13 prior to the Free Ramp to SR 1 from 9 AM until 2 PM.

Continue bridge construction activities along Bunker Hill Road. Motorists should anticipate an eastbound or westbound lane closure on Bunker Hill Road, west of Choptank Road with traffic alternating through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 7 AM until 5 PM.

Intermittent daytime right shoulder closures on US 301 southbound between the Strawberry Lane bridge and the Maryland state line to work on ponds and landscaping.

Continue bridge construction activities on Boyds Corner Road (SR 896). Motorists should anticipate an eastbound or westbound lane closure on Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) west of Cedar Lane with traffic alternating through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 9:00AM to 3:00PM.

Continue roadway widening activities along southbound US 13. Motorists should anticipate a single right lane closure along southbound US 13 between the Free Ramp to SR 1 and Port Penn Road from 7 AM until Noon.

Sunday, July 1, 2018 and Monday, July 2, 2018: Nightshift

Pile driving from SR 1 SB for bridge expansion. Motorists should anticipate a double right lane closure from 9 PM until 6 AM between the Roth Bridge and Toll Plaza.

Monday, July 2, 2018, Tuesday, July 3, 2018 and Thursday, July 5, 2018: Nightshift

Moving equipment to and from the SR 1 median to the pile driving location mentioned above. Motorists should anticipate rolling road blocks on SR 1 southbound between 10 PM and Midnight.

Monday, July 2, 2018 – Nightshift

Paving will take place on Port Penn Road on Monday night from 5 PM until 6 AM. Motorists should expect single lane closures with alternating traffic by flagging operations.

Detours and Roadway Closures

Port Penn Road at US 13 is restricted to a right turn into and right turn out of Port Penn Road. Traffic accessing southbound US 13 from Port Penn Road will follow Port Penn Road to Pole Bridge Road and back to US 13. Traffic accessing Port Penn Road from southbound US 13 will follow US 13 to Pole Bridge Road and back to Port Penn Road. Traffic accessing the Biddles Toll Plaza from northbound US 13 will follow US 13 to the traffic signal at the free ramp to northbound SR 1 and make a U-Turn back to the Biddles Toll Plaza. This closure will remain in effect through mid-July 2018 after the intersection is reconstructed and the new traffic signal becomes operational.

Hyetts Corner Road is CLOSED to traffic between the St. Georges High School and Windsor Commons Way until December 2018. Motorists traveling westbound on Hyetts Corner Road should follow Jamison Corner Road through the roundabout and continue to Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) and turn left, follow Boyd’s Corner Road (SR 896) to US 13 and turn left, and back to Hyetts Corner Road. Motorists traveling eastbound on Hyetts Corner Road should turn right at US 13, follow US 13 to Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) and turn right, follow Boyds Corner Road to Jamison Corner Road and turn right, follow Jamison Corner Road through the roundabout and back to Hyetts Corner Road.
