Below is an outline of the anticipated construction schedule and associated lane closures for work on the US 301 Mainline Project during the next week.

Monday, September 10, 2018 through Thursday September 13, 2018 – Dayshift

Continue bridge construction activities along SR 1. Motorists should anticipate a single left or right lane closure along northbound and southbound SR 1 between the Biddles Toll Plaza and the Roth Bridge from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Bridge widening construction activities along SR 1 southbound. Motorists should anticipate a single right lane closure from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. between the Roth Bridge and the Biddles Toll Plaza.

Continue roadway widening activities along southbound US 13. Motorists should anticipate a single right lane closure along southbound US 13 between the Free Ramp to SR 1 and Port Penn Road from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Intermittent daytime right shoulder closures on US 301 southbound between the Strawberry Lane bridge and the Maryland state line to work on ponds and landscaping.

Intermittent daytime single lane closures on US 301 between Boyds Corner Road and Spring Mill Drive to place topsoil at roadside areas.

Continue bridge construction activities on Boyd’s Corner Road (SR 896). Motorists should anticipate an eastbound or westbound lane closure on Boyd’s Corner Road (SR 896) west of Cedar Lane with traffic alternating through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Additional work on Bunker Hill Road is expected to begin this week. Motorists should expect single lane closures on Bunker Hill Road between the bridge over future US 301 and the roundabout at Chop Tank Road with traffic alternating through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Friday, September 14, 2018 – Dayshift

Continue roadway widening activities along southbound US 13. Motorists should anticipate a single right lane closure along southbound US 13 between the Free Ramp to SR 1 and Port Penn Road from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Detours and Roadway Closures

Levels Road Southeast of existing US 301 will be closed in the Southeast direction from 7:00 p.m. September 14, 2018 until 5:00 a.m. September 17, 2018 for sewer work. Warning signs and detour routes will be put in place in advance of this work.

The intersection of Port Penn Road and US 13 is now open to left turns and the signal is in full stop and go operations.

The Stadium/Bus lot and secondary driveway at St. Georges High School is closed to all traffic until further notice except during morning drop off and school dismissal times Monday through Friday. All other vehicles entering/exiting at any other time should use the main entrance to the high school.

Hyetts Corner Road is closed to traffic between the St. Georges High School and Windsor Commons Way until December 2018. Motorists traveling westbound on Hyetts Corner Road should follow Jamison Corner Road through the roundabout and continue to Boyd’s Corner Road (SR 896) and turn left, follow Boyd’s Corner Road (SR 896) to US 13 and turn left, and back to Hyetts Corner Road. Motorists traveling eastbound on Hyetts Corner Road should turn right at US 13, follow US 13 to Boyd’s Corner Road (SR 896) and turn right, follow Boyd’s Corner Road to Jamison Corner Road and turn right, follow Jamison Corner road through the roundabout and back to Hyetts Corner Road.
