Below is an outline of the anticipated construction schedule and associated lane closures for work on the SR 26 Mainline Improvement Project during the next week.

Monday, February 22, 2016 through Saturday, February 27, 2016

Continue grading for new curb between West Avenue and the Assawoman Canal. Motorists should anticipate eastbound and westbound lane closures on Route 26 between West Avenue and the Assawoman Canal with traffic alternating through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 09:00AM to 5:00PM.

Continue excavation for swale ditches between Bethany Crest and Denton Mills. Motorists should anticipate eastbound and westbound lane shifts on Route 26 between Bethany Crest and Denton Mills with both travel lanes getting through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 07:00AM to 5:00PM.

Complete installation of drainage inlets between Grants Avenue and Old School Lane. Motorists should anticipate westbound lane closures on Route 26 between Old School Lane and Grants Avenue with traffic alternating through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 09:00AM to 5:00PM.

Continue to install fiber cable between Whites Neck Road and Old Mill Road. Motorists should anticipate eastbound lane closures on Route 26 between Old Mill Road and Whites Neck Road with traffic alternating through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 09:00AM to 5:00PM.

Install water service tie-in for the new 16 inch water main on SR 26 at SR 17. No lane closures are anticipated for this construction activity.
