Route 26 Project Update

Below is an outline of the anticipated construction schedule and associated lane closures for work on the SR 26 Mainline Improvement Project during the next week.

Monday, January 25, 2016 through Saturday, January 30, 2016

Remove temporary concrete barrier at force main relocations on Route 26 at Tyler Drive and at Route 26 and Town Road. Motorists should anticipate westbound lane closures on Route 26 at Tyler Drive and at Route 26 and Town Road with traffic alternating through the work zone and intersection utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 9:00AM – 6:00PM.

Place concrete for new sidewalk on Route 26 east of Old School Lane. Motorists should anticipate eastbound and westbound lane shifts on Route 26 east of Old School Lane with traffic getting through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 07:00AM to 5:00PM.

Make adjustments to manholes on SR 26 at Club House Road. Motorists should anticipate westbound lane closures on Route 26 at Club House Road with traffic alternating through the work zone and intersection utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 9:00AM – 6:00PM.

Continue testing new 16 inch water main east and west of Whites Neck Road. No lane closures are needed for this construction activity.
