Below is an outline of the anticipated construction schedule and associated lane closures for work on the US 301 Mainline Project during the next week.

Monday, June 19, 2017 through Thursday, June 22, 2017

Continue bridge construction activities on Boyd’s Corner Road (SR 896). Motorists should anticipate an eastbound or westbound lane closure on Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) west of Cedar Lane with traffic alternating through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Continue excavation in the median along northbound and southbound US 13 between Old Hyetts Corner Road and Port Penn Road. Motorists should anticipate northbound and southbound single lane closures along US 13 between Old Hyetts Corner Road and Port Penn Road from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Monday, June 19, 2017 through Friday, June 23, 2017

Continue dirt hauling and bridge construction activities across Summit Bridge Road. Motorists should anticipate a flagging operation by construction personnel on Summit Bridge Road near North of Marl Pit/Armstrong Corner Road from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Continue dirt hauling and bridge construction activities across Bunker Hill Road. Motorists should anticipate a flagging operation by construction personnel on Bunker Hill Road near Appoquinimink High School from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Bunker Hill Road remains closed between Choptank Road and Merrimac Avenue until 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, for the construction of relocated Bunker Hill Road as part of the US 301 Mainline Project. Motorists traveling eastbound on Bunker Hill Road should follow Choptank Road to Armstrong Corner Road and turn right, follow Armstrong Corner Road to Summit Bridge Road (US 301) and turn right, follow Summit Bridge Road (US 301) turn right and back to Bunker Hill Road. Motorists traveling westbound on Bunker Hill Road should follow Summit Bridge Road (US 301) to Armstrong Corner Road and turn left, follow Armstrong Corner Road to Choptank Road and turn left, follow Choptank Road and turn back onto Bunker Hill Road.

Middletown-Warwick Road (SR 299) is closed at existing US 301 as part of the US 301 Mainline Project. Motorists traveling northbound on Middletown-Warwick Road to Middletown should turn left onto Wilson Street, follow Wilson Street to Old Telegraph Road and stay straight, follow Old Telegraph Road to Middle Neck Road and turn right, and follow Middle Neck Road to the new Middletown-Warwick Road and turn left and back to existing US 301. Motorists traveling southbound on Middletown-Warwick Road from Middletown should follow Middletown-Warwick Road (US 301) to Levels Road and turn right, follow Levels Road onto the new Middletown-Warwick Road and stay straight, follow the new Middletown-Warwick Road to Middle Neck Road and turn right, follow Middle Neck Road to Old Telegraph Road and turn left, follow Old Telegraph Road to Wilson Street and stay straight, follow Wilson Street back to Middletown-Warwick Road.

Port Penn Road at US Route 13 is restricted to a right turn into and right turn out of Port Penn Road. Traffic accessing southbound US13 from Port Penn Road will follow Port Penn Road to Pole Bridge Road and back to US Route 13. Traffic accessing Port Penn Road from southbound US Route 13 will follow US Route 13 to Pole Bridge Road and back to Port Penn Road. Traffic accessing the Biddles Toll Plaza from northbound US Route 13 will follow US Route 13 to the traffic signal at the free ramp to northbound State Route 1 and make a U-Turn back to the Biddles Toll Plaza. This closure will remain in effect until June 2018 after the intersection is reconstructed and the new traffic signal becomes operational.

Hyetts Corner Road is closed to traffic between the St. Georges High School and Windsor Commons Way until December 2018. Motorists traveling westbound on Hyetts Corner Road should follow Jamison Corner Road through the roundabout and continue to Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) and turn left, follow Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) to US 13 and turn left, and back to Hyetts Corner Road. Motorists traveling eastbound on Hyett’s Corner Road should turn right at US 13, follow US 13 to Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) and turn right, follow Boyds Corner Road to Jamison Corner Road and turn right, follow Jamison Corner road through the roundabout and back to Hyetts Corner Road.

Strawberry Lane is closed to traffic at US 301. Motorists wanting to access the east side of Strawberry Lane from US 301 will follow Levels Road (SR 15) to Strawberry Lane. Motorists wanting to access the west side of Strawberry Lane from US 301 will turn left onto the new Levels Road/Middletown-Warwick Road and follow Middletown-Warwick Road (SR 299) to Middle Neck Road and turn right, follow Middle Neck Road to Old Telegraph Road and turn left, follow Old Telegraph Road to Wilson Street and back to Strawberry Lane.

Monday, June 19, 2017 through Thursday, June 22, 2017- Nightshift

Continue bridge construction for US 301 over Boyds Corner Road (SR 896). Motorists should anticipate a single lane closure with traffic alternating through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Continue multiple construction activities along Summit Bridge Road. Motorists should anticipate northbound or southbound lane closures on Summit Bridge Road, north and south of the Armstrong Corner Road/Marl Pit Road intersection, with traffic alternating through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by Law Enforcement and construction personnel from 7:00 p.m. to 05:00 a.m.

Begin removing temporary concrete barrier along US 13, south of the on ramp to State Route 1. Motorists should anticipate single left lane closures on northbound and southbound US 13 between Port Penn Road and the on ramp for SR 1 from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Begin placing temporary concrete barrier along northbound SR 1. Motorists should anticipate a single right lane closure along northbound SR 1 between the toll plaza and Roth Bridge from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
