SR141/I95 Ramp Interchange Project

SR141/I-95 Ramp Interchange Project
November 4, 2016

The contractor, Mumford & Miller Inc., continues constructing the concrete structures for the new bridges on SR141. This week, the contractor will place fill for the widening of ramps from SR141 southbound to I-95 northbound and constructing the side slopes of southbound SR141.

LANE CLOSURES:

Motorists should expect traffic on SR141 northbound and southbound to be reduced to one lane in the construction area during the hours of 9AM to 3PM, Monday and Wednesday of this week.

The paving of the ramp from southbound I-95 to northbound SR141 that was scheduled for this weekend has been pushed back until November 18th and 19th. Detours will be posted.

Ramp Exit 5B (NB I-295 to NB SR141/Newport) remains closed until late June 2017. Northbound SR141/Newport should use Exit 5.

Motorists should anticipate northbound and southbound lane shifts on Summit Bridge Road, north of Armstrong Corner Road, with traffic with both lanes getting through the work zone daily.

Continue installing roadway drainage pipes across existing northbound U.S. Route 301 between Strawberry Lane and the Maryland Line. Motorists should anticipate northbound or southbound lane shifts along U.S. Route 301 between the Maryland Line and Strawberry lane with both lanes getting through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Continue relocating ITMS conduit along northbound and southbound State Route 1. Motorists should anticipate single lane closures on northbound and southbound State Route 1 between the Roth Bridge and the Toll Plaza from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Continue pile driving activities in the median of State Route 1, north of the toll plaza. No lane closures are anticipated for this activity.

Continue dirt hauling activities on Hyetts Corner Road. Motorists should anticipate lane closures on Hyetts Corner Road between Airmont Drive and Windsor Commons with traffic alternating through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Continue dirt hauling activities on Boyds Corner Road. Motorists should anticipate a flagging operation by construction personnel on Boyds Corner Road west of Jamison Corner Road from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Continue dirt hauling activities across Armstrong Corner Road. Motorists should anticipate a flagging operation by construction personnel on Armstrong Corner Road west of Summit Bridge Road from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The contractor, Mumford & Miller Inc., continues constructing the concrete structures for the new bridges on SR141. This week, the contractor will continue to place fill for the widening of ramps from SR141 northbound and southbound to I-95 northbound and constructing the side slopes of southbound SR141. On Friday and Saturday of this week, workers will be milling and paving the approaches and the bridge on SR141 southbound. Motorists should expect delays.

Motorists should expect traffic on SR141 southbound and northbound to be reduced to one lane in the construction area during the hours of 9AM to 3PM, Monday thru Saturday.

This week, the contractor will continue to place fill for the widening of ramps from SR141 northbound and southbound to I-95 northbound and constructing the side slopes of southbound SR141.

The contractor, Mumford & Miller, Inc. have been driving piles and constructing concrete structures for the new bridges on SR141 southbound and northbound. They continue the clearing and grubbing of SR141 southbound, northbound and at ramps G and F in preparation for the bridge widening. This week, the contractor continues to place fill for the widening of ramps from SR141 northbound and southbound to I-95 northbound.

LANE CLOSURES:

Motorists should expect traffic on SR141 southbound and northbound to be reduced to one lane in the construction area during the hours of 9AM to 3PM, Tuesday thru Saturday.
