Route 54 Project – Updates

Presently, the contractor has completed the excavation on the north side of the road and is completing the placement of the stone base.  The contractor has also begun the placement of the curb.  In the next few weeks, the contractor is hoping to begin placing the sidewalk and asphalt for the north side widening.  Presently, the schedule shows a completion in Summer 2012, but the contractor is continuously looking for opportunities to achieve an earlier completion.  Any work performed beyond the Memorial Day holiday will be done so in a manner to create minimal impacts to the summer traffic.

I-95/SR 1 Interchange Project – Update

Christiana Mall Road Bridge: All three deck pours are complete.  This week the contractor will be preparing for the parapet wall construction.  The goal is to open the new bridge to traffic in mid to late March, but that date is very weather dependent.
